CPG-Nuke William Carey Fun Fair – A Huge Success

Saturday, March 8th was the day that marked the first fun fair held at William Carey Christian School, the school which Ryan Corfield attended for his entire schooling career (1994 – 2007).

The day was packed with heaps of people coming through the gates to take a look at the various stall holders that were exhibiting throughout the day. These stalls included: food, arts and craft, toys for the kids and much, much more, not forgetting the amusement rides that was ever so popular and hence having to wait ages to have a ride.

As part of the day, the Corfield Woods Motorsport team had there Sprintcar on display in one of the main areas. The car was on exhibition with a boat, a hot-rod and many other vintage cars.

“Hats off to the team led by Caroline Young and Ian wake for putting this excellent day together. It’s always great to go back to Carey and visit the many friends, both staff and students that I have had the privilege to work with over the years. They were all very impressed with the car. It’s great to be always welcome at Carey, a place where I have had a lot of good times in 14 years,” remarked Ryan Corfield, team PR manager.

Many people stopped by the Corfield Woods Motorsport Sprintcar to ask Tony Pryor, Ryan and Peter [Woods] Crew Chief questions. One of the most interested visitors was Derek White, WCCS Head of Senior Studies.

“I am thrilled to have been able to sit in the Corfield Woods Motorsport #44 G&S Bulk Haulage, Sensible.com.au Sprintcar. These cars use the state-of-the-art safety equipment, to which I am surprised at how high tech the equipment is. When I got in the car it was very tight and there was no room for error entering or exiting the car. Tony showed me how to get in and out of the car first and then I tried it. Experience definitely paid off in this field,” remarked White.

Corfield Woods Motorsport will be returning to race mode this Saturday night, March 15th for the next round of the Tyrepower Parramatta City Raceway Track Championship.
